On the 27th of May 2021, the consortium organised the Kick-off meeting for the KA2 Erasmus+ ‘TOGETHER: Implement service learning in schools TO GET digital cultural HERitage enhanced’ project.
The TOGETHER project aims to foster the digital creativity of young generations by leveraging the “service learning” methodology and applying it to secondary schools, with the aim to engage students in community-valuable activities of digital transformation for cultural heritage resources, protecting and enhancing its value as community’s cultural assets. The project will develop a training path for secondary school teachers on how to provide significant creative digital skills through the application of service-learning oriented to the design of a motivating learning environment, aiming to engage students in real-life initiatives in collaboration with key local actors for the promotion of their cultural heritage.
During the meeting, the partners had the opportunity to get to know each other, go over the project overview and analyse the Intellectual Outputs. Specifically, the Teacher’s Handbook and Competence framework and the TOGETHER Digital Creativity Academy were discussed in order to start the project as organized as possible. A big thank you to all partners for their great cooperation.
Second Transnational Meeting
DATE: 17 December 2021
The consortium met once again online on the 17th of December 2021 due to the COVID-19 restrictions and had a great and productive meeting. Partners had a brainstorming session in regards to the questions that will be raised during the focus groups and semi-structured interviews that will be organized in January-February 2022 and they then proceeded with discussions mainly on the content and the format of the handbook that will be distributed to secondary school teachers. Partners finished their promising meeting with discussions on the dissemination and quality of the project.
Third Transnational Meeting
DATE: 24 November 2022
In our first in-person Transnational Project Meeting, we met in Berlin, Germany.
We started the day with a welcome and a tour through the school, Berlin Cosmopolitan School. We started the day with a presentation of TOGETHER Digital Creativity Academy and Q&A by all partners. We discussed the possibility of a certification when the teacher will have finished the modules, we created in the handbook for Service Learning. We also planned the translation in all partner languages.
We also discussed the Teaching and Learning Activity as well as the Transnational Project Meeting in January in Aveiro, Portugal. We will there train each other on the platform and its contents, we will role-play service-learning classes and review the platform. We will also discuss the pilot testing of the beta and alpha versions.
At the end we talked about Quality Management Status (Gantt Chart & Timeline & Budget), as well as the Dissemination Update.
The social dinner was at a German Brauhaus where we enjoyed the southern German food and hospitality.
C1 Training and the Fourth Transnational Meeting
DATE: 17-20 January 2023
The17-20th of January 2023 were really productive days for the TOGETHER project. Partners as well as secondary school teachers met in Aveiro, Portugal for the C1 training of the project. Participants were presented all the modules and had the opportunity to navigate through the platform of the project. In addition, a group activity was organized, for teachers to think about ways to integrate Service Learning methods in their classes.
On the last day, participants also participated in the TPM4 of the project during which they discussed the C1 training, the pending issues (mainly translations, pilot testing organisation and the development of the TOGETHER platform). Once again, the meeting met the expectations of all partners, without leaving any doubts or unclarified issues pending.
TOGETHER Final Meeting
DATE: 21 April 2023
The last meeting of the TOGETHER project was organised in Brussels on the 21st of April 2023. Partners collected the final comments for the TOGETHER project based on their own personal experience, as well as on the participants of the pilot testing sessions. In addition, they decided on the final tasks and deadlines of the project and shared their satisfaction during these two years and they hope to collaborate soon in other challenging projects.
